Divisional Objectives

The Australian Foundry Institute (Queensland Division) Inc, is dedicated to providing support to the Queensland foundry industry and its members.

The objectives of the Institute are as follows:

1. To provide a means of advancing knowledge of foundry practice, technology and management,
2. To facilitate the exchange of information by the presentation and discussion of technical papers,
3. To encourage, assist and initiate where appropriate, industry-related research and development,
4. To organise, advise, liaise with others on means, systems, syllabi for the education and training of personnel at all levels of the industry,
5. To identify, collect and disseminate technical information on industry-related subjects,
6. To promote the best interests of the industry and Institute Members,
7. To properly manage the assets and funds of the Institute,
8. Generally to do all things necessary or expedient for the proper and effective carrying out of any of the objectives above.
